JESSICA & DAVID AT LEMORE
We first met Jessica and David at our Autumn Showcase in November 2018 and instantly connected with them. We were so intrigued to know their story, about how they met and fell in love. In fact, their story was incredibly touching and unique- they were childhood sweethearts! Ceri, their dedicated wedding planner thoroughly enjoyed looking after them and getting to know them throughout the whole planning process. She said “working with Jessica and David was a real pleasure, they knew exactly how they envisioned their day to be and were just genuinely lovely people”.
PRE WEDDING SUMMER BBQ
Thursday 4th July Jessica, David and their loved ones arrived to Lemore for their pre-wedding celebrations. The sun was beaming down and the smell of freshly cut grass filled the air- the perfect weather for a Great British BBQ. With 11 acres of grounds to enjoy and lawn games aplenty, they were able to enjoy the space with their nearest and dearest (and get a little competitive over a game of croquet). We set up the Glazed Link, banqueting style, ready for evening foods. It was such a lovely, intimate dinner, which was perfect for calming nerves and getting excited together for the day ahead. One thing that really stood out from the evening was the speech that Jessica made. It was so lovely to hear her touching words and it really set the tone for a fun filled celebration.
MORNING PREPARATIONS - FRIDAY 5TH JULY- WEDDING BELLS!
After a cosy nights stay at the Manor, guests met in the Dining Room to enjoy a delicious breakfast. Jessica and her maids began their morning preparations in the Hen’s Den and enjoyed a scrumptious brunch brought over by Ceri, with coffees, smoothies and fizz too. Jessica’s sweeping dress was breath taking, with a delicate lace detail. The bridesmaid’s wore black, fitted and laced long dresses. It tied together perfectly.
David and his Grooms Party took to the Gentlemen’s Lounge for last minute bow-tie tweaking and a game of pool before the ceremony. With beautiful blue skies, the Groomsmen were also able to make the most of the grounds.
The Gents certainly gave ‘suited and booted’ a whole new meaning. They went for black tie, which looked super smart and sophisticated.
THE CEREMONY
Set in Lemore’s beautifully manicured gardens and grounds, sits our ornate Bandstand. Jessica and David had set their hearts on getting married outdoors and the weather couldn’t have been more glorious. In fact, it was one of the most scorching days of the summer so far.
The unity strings played harmonious music, whilst guests took their seats for the ceremony. The musical element to the ceremony didn’t end there… One of David’s Grooms Party played the electric guitar and sang, a very special personal touch.
Those flowers… that arch! We fell totally head over heels for this beautiful ceremony arch. March Hare Floral Design did such a fabulous job of fulfilling Jessica and David’s floral dreams. Foliage and lots of white is a hard combination to beat in our opinion.
CELEBRATE IN STYLE!
After basking in the sunshine with drinks and canapés on the terrace, Jessica and David made a grand entrance down the marble steps into our Orangery as Mr and Mrs Griffin!
Before ‘wining and dining’, Jessica and David had organised a fabulously fun ‘Mr and Mrs Quiz’. Queue duplicates of pictures of Jessica and David’s heads all around the room ready for their guests to give their answers. This really got their guests giggling! They chose a delicious duo of Salmon to start, Lamb with herb crusted cutlets for main and strawberry, white chocolate and marshmallow knickerbocker glory for dessert.
Couture Events, based in Hereford, styled the tables. We love these neutral grey table cloths, they compliment the Orangery perfectly and provide the perfect backdrop to your table setting. Into the evening, everyone’s dancing shoes were tightly fastened. Jessica and David chose a DJ and there wasn’t a moment that the dance floor wasn’t full. We had so much fun helping to bring this day to life. An elegant, beautiful day from start to finish and we loved being able to share it with them! Last but certainly not least, we had the pleasure of working with the tremendously talented Anneli Marinovich. The images of the day we have seen so far are absolutely stunning and we can’t wait to see more!
